SpaceBorn United has appointed Forbes-Space, and its FundNewSpace team to support a Seed funding round to take its vital technology to prototype maturation MVP stage and for technical validation.
SpaceBorn United researches and enables different stages of mammalian and human reproduction in space, improving reproductive biology on Earth and helping enable independent human settlements beyond Earth. The embedded video introduces the company and its unique technology.
Forbes-Space’s engagement parameters include:
🚀 Identification of best-fit partners for SpaceBorn United's $2m seed round
📈 Refining pitch material to communicate the dual benefits to space and non-space investors
🤝 Discussions with investors aligned with space exploration and biotechnology missions
Space-for-Earth Value: The process of enabling IVF and early embryo development in space (by re-engineering and optimizing IVF technology: e.g. embryo incubators and cryogenic vitrification) shows the strong potential of improving IVF and assisted reproduction treatments on Earth, currently a $180 Billion market.
SpaceBorn United’s IP is expected to increase IVF success rates, shorten treatment periods, reduce medication costs, enhance embryo selection and improve patient well-being.
SpaceBorn United’s technology can be used as a research platform for validation of partial gravity effects of pharmaceuticals on human tissues and organs. SpaceBorn United’s long term research roadmap and IP also enables subsequent stages of reproduction beyond Earth, eventually enabling the complete 9-month cycle in space by the highest ethical and safety standards.
SpaceBorn United IP will be the only evidence-based resource in the market that can be licensed to every organisation involved or interested in these domains.
As Dr. Egbert Edelbroek, CEO of SpaceBorn United, stated: “Our mission is not just about understanding and enabling safe human reproduction in space but also making real advances in human reproduction technology here on Earth. By enabling reproduction under unique micro- and partial gravitational conditions, we are in a unique position to deliver benefits for humanity.”
At Forbes-Space, we are proud to support SpaceBorn United in their mission to shape the future of reproductive biology on Earth and to advance the potential for life beyond Earth.
